Jung-il Ju Academic Award

Background

In order to encourage the academic development of young scholars and juniors in the field of play therapy, this association has been awarding academic awards since 2007. The donation made by the family of the late Professor Jeong-Il Ju to the academic society in 2015 became the seed that gave life to the “Jung-Il Ju Academic Award.” To commemorate the late professor’s affection and passion for the society and her descendants, the former “Academic Award” has been renamed to “Jung-Il Ju Academic Award.”

Award Candidates

The Jung-il Ju Academic Award is given once a year, and is divided into journal thesis and degree thesis.
Among the papers published in “Play Therapy Research,” the academic journal of this association, one qualitative study, one quantitative study, and one doctoral thesis in the field of play therapy are selected.

Selection Process

Each year (December to November of the following year), a review committee is formed and conducted. Papers published during the term are selected after the 1st and 2nd screening process and are awarded at the academic conference in December.
